About Us

The George Appeal was set up in memory of baby George North who was 'born sleeping' at 31 weeks of pregnancy.  

In recognition of the care and attention his parents, Ruth and James North, received during this very difficult time, they decided to set up the appeal.  The aim of the appeal is to purchase equipment for the antenatal and maternity units in Devon and Cornwall. 

The first project is to raise approximately £150,000 to purchase an ultra sound scanning machine for the antenatal department of Derriford Hospital.
